About us

Martin Outfitters began with a dream that Dan Martin followed in 2008 when he packed up and left the rolling hills and hardwood forests on his family farm in Pennsylvania and headed west.  The calling for chasing big game animals in steep, rugged terrain or taking in the scenic vistas from the back of a horse soon became a reality, and a passion grew that Dan wanted to share with others.

My career began in 2008 when I moved to the Buffalo Valley, just east of Moran, Wyoming.  I began to learn the country of the Teton Wilderness in my backyard by taking guests on horseback rides, pack trips, and guiding big game hunts. Being blessed that I was able to call this my job, I took pride in providing memorable experiences for my guests to take home with them, and I wanted more.  Now, with 9 years of professional guiding experience, 2017 brings a new beginning with the start of Martin Outfitters.

Supported by my hunting buddy and partner for life, my wife Erin also takes advantage of the outdoor playground that I consider my office.  Whether it's hunting, fishing, or sitting on the back of a horse, we are ready to provide a memorable outdoor experience for you.

We are excited to serve you on your adventure out west. Please give us a call to book your trip of a lifetime in the heart of the Tetons!

Dan,

I want to thank you for a fantastic hunt. I can honestly say that it was the finest hunt I have ever experienced. I loved every minute spent in the beautiful mountains and it was a pleasure to see how you developed the strategy to successfully “work” the elk. I could tell you had studied the areas and knew every trail and path. Of course, taking a fine elk with a bow capped off a truly special experience that I will remember forever. I can’t wait to get back. Thanks Again.

Dan,

Thank you again for a truly amazing hunt. Your knowledge of the area coupled with your ability to locate and call elk resulted in memories to last a lifetime. Riding and hiking through some of the most spectacular scenery in the lower 48 combined with more elk action then we could have imagined has us eager to do it again. See you in 2018!

-Don
